Our faculty consists of specialized RCI qualified teachers, counsellors and other qualified professionals, supported by adequate administrative staff.

MR. JEHANGIR RUSTOM AFSHARI
B.com., Diploma in Special Education
PRESIDENT – Human Development Centre Trust
DIRECTOR – Little Angels School
His philosophy …..
“ For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, but lose his soul ? “
- Mr. Jehangir R. Afshari, the Director of Little Angels School, made a remarkable decision when he left his high-profile job to dedicate his efforts to children with special needs. Surprising his friends, he embarked on a journey of learning by enrolling in a Special Educators’ course, aspiring to understand how to effectively operate a school, particularly in support of children with special needs.
- On September 4, 2000, he realized his dream by establishing the Human Development Centre (Vocational) in Santa Cruz, Mumbai, catering to adults aged 21 and above. His vision became a reality in June 2002 when he founded Little Angels School, which is operated and managed by the Human Development Centre Trust. The school is situated within the premises of the Diwan Bahadur G.S. Rao Memorial School Building on a rental basis at Pali Pathar, Dr. Ambedkar Road, Bandra West, Mumbai 400050.
- The journey began with just one classroom, 12 students, and four teachers. Today, the school has experienced significant growth, now serving 147 students with a dedicated staff of 51 and providing nine classrooms.
- In 2005, he expanded his vision by establishing Little Angels Kingdom in Lonavala, a ‘home away from home.’ It functions as a training center where children can spend days or weeks, depending on their individual functional levels.”

A cell or committee comprising male & female members is required to investigate all complaints of sexual harassment, for which a documented procedure is to be made a part of the QMS or something akin by way of School rules.
A committee is constituted for prevention/action against sexual harassment of female teaching staff, non-teaching staff and girl student
Future Projects
- We currently operate from rented premises and aim to have our own premises.
- We would like to expand globally and achieve international standards in ‘Special Education.’
- We aim to establish sheltered workshops and ensure job placements for adults with special needs.
- We are interested in initiating a ‘Teacher Training Course’ under the Rehabilitation Council of India (R.C.I.) to strengthen the foundation of Special Education in the country.
- We are committed to working tirelessly for the recognition of Special Education as a profession, rather than it being perceived as social work.
- We aspire to become a registered NIOS Centre, where students from other schools can come and take their NIOS examinations
